June 22, 2016, Treynor, Iowa – For the seventh consecutive year, TS Bank was named a top performing bank in the state among “C” Corporation banks. According to the recent FDIC Call Report, TS Bank ranked #1 in both ROE and ROA in the state of Iowa among C-Corp banks. To celebrate this achievement, TS Bank is donating $100,000 to the Vision Treynor Group of Treynor, Iowa for the community’s new sports complex. The donation will assist in the completion of phase two of construction. In addition, TS Bank is donating an extra $5,000 towards a splash pad that will be located in the Treynor East Park.
Since 2009, TS Bank has ranked among the top 20 high performing banks in the state and the nation. TS Bank earned three-peat #1 rankings in both ROE and ROA in 2009, 2010, and 2011 for the state of Iowa. In 2009, TS Bank ranked #1 in ROE and ROA for both in the state and in the nation.
“While we were excited to receive this award the first year, I think that the real mark of success comes from consecutive high rankings. I feel this is a result of TS Bank continually working to push the status quo and engaging the community in that as well,” stated Joshua M. Guttau, TS Banking Group CEO.
TS Bank’s strategy to provide excellent client service and leverage internal analytical expertise has resulted in high performance for the bank. Strong credit quality has been maintained through consistent and conservative underwriting practices. The company also continues to invest in the bank’s future by providing training and professional development opportunities to their employees to build intellectual capital. TS Bank’s mission is to help ignite prosperity in the lives of others, which strengthens communities and preserves the viability and resurgence of community banking.
“It’s an honor to be ranked a high performer, but we also consider it a greater privilege to reinvest in our local communities. The more we push forward with our company, the more we can give back to the community. Reinvesting 10% of our pre-tax profits to serve local non-profits, organizations, charities and sponsorships is a big motivation behind everything we do,” said Guttau.
A gift of $100,000 has been selected to be given to Vision Treynor Group to further develop phase two of the Sports Complex: to build an access road and one or two grassy athletic fields. The first $50,000 will be an outright donation while the second portion of the $50,000 will be contributed as a matching gift challenge.
“We are completely thrilled by this gift and TS Bank’s generosity. We are beyond appreciative. We firmly believe that this will spur greater interest and a renewed spirit toward giving to the project in order to fully develop the property,” said Travis Castle, Vision Treynor Group President.
Approximately fifty percent of TS Bank’s reinvestment funds are put toward teaching and promoting financial literacy through TS Institute. Not only is financial literacy facilitated in K-12 programs throughout the schools in the county, but the TS Institute has regular teaching visits at the SW Iowa Juvenile Detention Center, the Boys and Girls Club, MICAH House, IWCC Adult Education, and the Iowa Workforce Development Center.
“We come from a humble beginning. Finding ways in which we continue to engage with our clients, employees and communities are what keep us grounded in the things that matter,” concluded Joshua M. Guttau, TS Banking Group CEO.
