TS Bank donates $10,000 to Hearts and Hugs day care

Corning, IA - TS Bank is proud to announce a donation of $10,000 to Hearts and Hugs Day Care in Corning, Iowa. Hearts and Hugs has been a part of the Corning community for over 20 years, providing quality childcare to meet the needs of families in Adams County and the surrounding communities.
Hearts and Hugs Day Care recently purchased and renovated a building to allow for an expansion of their services. The funds donated by TS Bank were used to renovate the west area of the property into a playground area that will allow the children to play and grow in an enriching environment. The Board developed a plan to create a safe outdoor classroom environment for learning. The area is approximately 65' x 65' fenced in the area so that the children can spend more time outdoors. On entering the outdoor area, children will enter into a sidewalk area before reaching the special tiled and pea gravel area. Also included are five standing boxes, constructed to create 4' x 6' areas as raised gardens and raised play areas.
"This new area is something that will be incorporated into our everyday activities, and from an internal standpoint, the fence around the play area is just one more thing that will keep the kids safe, " said Chris Heimke, Director of Hearts and Hugs Daycare. "With TS Bank's help we were recently able to complete this project early so the kids were able to get outside this late fall and experience the new playground before next spring."

About Hearts and Hugs Day Care: Hearts and Hugs Day Care is a family-oriented facility whose goal is to furnish a nurturing environment for children to learn, play and grow.
