Local bank sponsors motivational speaker to visit 11 southwest Iowa area schools

Treynor, Iowa, September 27, 2022 - This week 10 southwest Iowa schools will file into gymnasiums and auditoriums to hear from speaker and author, Terrence Talley, who's hope is to bring students together, give another option, heal some hurts and help realize positive life choices. The presentation is part of TS Bank's TS Promise motivational speaker series Sept. 26-29, visiting Riverside, Treynor, Tri-Center, Underwood, Griswold, East Mills, Abraham Lincoln, Lewis Central, Heartland Christian and Southwest Valley.

Today, students face an uphill battle against bullying, peer pressure, family hurts and life altering choices. Terrence Lee Talley helps encourages and unites students to work through trauma with a path to healing and positive choices.

Growing up in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, Terrence uses his childhood and relationship with his parents, heartbreaking moments and now the joy of being a father to help convey an unforgettable message for students. Terrence is a communicator where individuals remember what he said but also, how he made them feel.

TS Promise is part of the bank’s commitment to reinvest 10% of its net income back into the community and specifically impact local youth through this program. In addition to the school assemblies, a youth rally will be held at the Treynor Community Center, Wed., Sept. 28 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and is open to all area middle and high schoolers, their siblings and their parents.

At the conclusion of the week over 3,228 students will be impacted. TS Bank has been hosting TS Promise for the last 22 years.
