TS Bank helps supply nearly 380 movie passes for elementary students

Corning, IA, December 10, 2021 - Nearly 380 elementary students and school staff attended the movie, Clifford the Big Red Dog at the Corning American Theater last week with the help of a $1,500 donation from TS Bank to cover movie admission.
Without this year’s theater partnership and bank donation, the annual event may not have occurred.
“The parent teacher organizations for both Corning and Villisca were able to raise some funds, but not as much as years past due to the difficultly of not being able to host fundraising events the last year. We were glad to help fill the gap and give back to our local youth in this experiential way,” said Kelly Herring, assistant vice president of consumer credit with TS Bank.
There were five movie showings across three days between November 30 through December 2. Both the Corning and Villisca Elementary schools attended. The theatre also provided complimentary popcorn and drinks for all the students and teachers.
“We enjoyed partnering with TS Bank, so the kids could see a movie and have their popcorn and drink! The kids were so appreciative for a true movie theater experience,” said Donna Hogan, board member with Corning American Theater.
