TS Bank announces promotions of two team members

Council Bluffs, Iowa, November 8, 2021 - TS Bank, an eight location southwest Iowa community bank is pleased to announce Marie Miller as vice president of consumer and commercial real estate credit and Matt Saar as ag and business banking team leader.
Miller has 20 years of experience in finance and banking with a background in personal, business and commercial lending. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. Miller began her banking career in 2001 and most recently served as the vice president of business banking.
In her new role as vice president of consumer and commercial real estate, she will focus on new and spec home construction, mortgages and commercial real estate. She will also continue to do aircraft lending and consumer loans.
Miller serves as a board member of the Council Bluffs Guild of the Omaha Symphony, the CHI Patient and Family Advisory Council, and the Lewis Central Schools Booster Club.
In her free time, she likes attending her children’s many sporting events, walking her two dogs, attending boxing classes, and occasionally singing at weddings and other events.
Saar has seven years of banking experience and joined TS Bank in 2014 as a credit analyst before moving into a lending role. Saar is originally from Treynor, Iowa, where he graduated from Treynor High School, then graduated from Iowa State University. He is also currently enrolled in the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
In his previous role as vice president of ag and business banking he worked with ag producers and small businesses to streamline the loan approval process and provide the best loan options available. In his new role as ag and business banking team leader he will focus on leading TS Bank’s ag and business banking efforts in the greater Pottawattamie County market.
Saar has a focus on community involvement, serving as the chair of the Council Bluffs Area Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee, as treasurer of the Westfair Livestock Sale committee, as a board member of the Pottawattamie Conservation Foundation and as a member of Impact CB’s Executive Committee. He is also on the Treynor City Council. Matt and his wife, Beth, reside in Treynor with their two sons. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, biking and spending time with family and friends.
