Southwest Iowa small business pitch competition prize pool rises to $18,500

Council Bluffs, Iowa, September 6, 2024 - TS Bank and Advance Southwest Iowa are pleased to announce the total prize money for REV, a pitch competition planned for November in Council Bluffs, has increased to $18,500 due to generous community sponsors. The event will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center.
Applications are still open until Tuesday, September 10 and available at tsbank.com/rev. The event is open to the public, but registration is required and the cost to attend is $15.00. Visit tsbank.com/revevent for tickets.
At the event five REV finalists, all local entrepreneurs and business owners will pitch live on stage. Attendees will also have the chance to meet the finalists as well as connect with featured spotlight businesses to learn more about their ventures, network with other entrepreneurial-minded guests and enjoy food from Kitchen Council members. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the event begins at 4:00 p.m. and concludes at approximately 7:00 p.m. when the 2024 REV winners will be announced.
Major premier sponsors include TS Bank, Advance Southwest Iowa, Google, Tandem Works and The Acres. This year's food sponsor is Castle and Associates Inc. while InnoVenture Iowa is the drink sponsor. Gold sponsors include the Greater Omaha Chamber, Iowa Western Community College, Full Fledged Brewery Company, Big Prana Microgreens and Nebraska Enterprise Fund who also supported the People's Choice Award. Silver sponsors feature the Council Bluffs Chamber of Commerce, Vistage, Aflac, Dave Lyon Towing & Repair LLC and Nesting Grounds. Additionally, the Kitchen Council and Fox Creek Fundraising are bronze sponsors, and Bluffs Country 106.5 is this year's media sponsor.
TS Bank originally started REV in 2015 in an effort to spur economic growth and encourage business owners to continue pursuing their dreams. As of today, $138,000 has been awarded through this program. Last year’s winners included Gillett Hauling of Underwood, Iowa and OCookieOs of Council Bluffs.
