Mick and Judy Guttau named honorary chairs for Heartland Family Service Strike a Chord with double meaning
May 20, 2024
Council Bluffs, IA, May 20, 2024 - TS Bank proudly announces Mick and Judy Guttau as the honorary chairs for the Heartland Family Service (HFS) Strike a Chord Gala, slated for June 7, 2024, at the MidAmerica Center in Council Bluffs. With deep roots in southwest Iowa and a shared commitment to community service spanning over five decades, the Guttaus epitomize the spirit of philanthropy and leadership.
Established nearly 150 years ago, Heartland Family Service has been a pillar of support for the Omaha and Council Bluffs communities, fostering strength and resilience in individuals, families, and communities through advocacy, education, counseling, and support services. Last year alone, Heartland Family Service touched the lives of over 140,000 individuals and families across 19 locations in east central Nebraska and southwest Iowa, making a profound impact on the lives of countless individuals.
The Strike a Chord event holds a profound significance for Mick and Judy, reflecting the dual purpose of both celebration and introspection. As Judy eloquently shares, "Strike a Chord has a double meaning. The first is to be striking up the band to celebrate, and secondly it's striking a chord within to consider what's happened in your life and how we can make a difference for others."
The Guttaus are deeply honored to serve as honorary chairs, recognizing the opportunity to promote Heartland Family Service and inspire others to give back to their community in meaningful ways. The organization provides Child & Family well-being, Counseling & Prevention, and Housing, Safety, and Financial Stability.
For several years, Mick and Judy Guttau have been gracious supporters of Heartland Family Service. Additionally, TS Bank has donated over $25,000 since 2014.
The Guttau family's leadership was also recognized by Heartland Family Service in 2012, underscoring their commitment to serving others and making a positive impact in their community. As Mick Guttau affirms, "Faith, family and financial stewardship drive us as a company. We are immensely grateful for the invaluable contributions of HFS to our local community, and we are committed to supporting their mission of strengthening individuals and families through education, counseling, and support services.”
Join in the fun at the Strike a Chord Gala on June 7, 2024, at 7pm, as we come together to make a difference in the lives of those in need. All proceeds go toward the life-saving services in southwest Iowa. Visit strike.heartlandfamilyservice.org or call 402-552-7400 or event details and ticket information.
