TS Bank donates $5,000 to support Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center in Story County

Ames, Iowa, April 19, 2024 – TS Bank is proud to announce a $5,000 donation to the Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center, a forthcoming community facility set to enrich the lives of residents in Story County and surrounding areas. This contribution will be utilized to construct a safe, accessible indoor aquatic facility for families, children and individuals of all ages.
The Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center, spanning 38,900 square feet, boasts three distinct pool basins: a lap pool, a zero-depth entry pool with play structure and a current channel, and a wellness pool. The aquatics portion of the building also features a unique body slide connecting both indoor and outdoor spaces. Additionally, the facility offers two multi-purpose rooms tailored for youth and adult activities, further enhancing its role as a community hub for recreation, fitness and water safety education.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center is scheduled for April 24, 2024, at 11 a.m., with plans for the public opening in Fall 2025. Keith Abraham, Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Ames, expressed gratitude for TS Bank’s support, emphasizing the facility’s potential to offer warm water aquatic opportunities for all ages.
