Kelli Hecker graduates from Leadership Ames program

Ames, Iowa, November 18, 2024 – Kelli Hecker, Branch Manager at TS Bank in Ames, has successfully graduated from the Leadership Ames Class XXXVII, a program organized by the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. This achievement marks an important milestone in Kelli’s professional journey, underscoring her commitment to civic engagement and community leadership. Through this year-long program, participants gain an in-depth understanding of the Ames community, developing leadership skills and a strong network of peers dedicated to making a positive impact.

Leadership Ames is a unique development program that provides both experienced and emerging leaders with hands-on learning experiences, including behind-the-scenes tours of local businesses, in-depth discussions on critical community issues and opportunities to collaborate on a group service project. Kelli and her fellow classmates were actively involved in community service initiatives, selecting projects that ranged from fundraising and awareness events to support efforts for local non-profit organizations.

Once again, the cohesiveness of the class was exceptional, and Kelli always demonstrated an eagerness and enthusiasm during each class session to learn," said Jan Williams, Vice President of the Ames Regional Economic Alliance. "She was present, engaged and fully committed to the program. Kelli will no doubt be a force of goodness for TS Bank, the clients she serves and will lead with continued excitement and passion from here on out."

Kelli joined TS Bank in December 2022, bringing with her over 15 years of banking experience and a deep-rooted connection to the Ames area, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Iowa State University. Since joining TS Bank, she has also completed TS Bank’s Transformational Leader Academy, further equipping her with leadership skills to serve her community effectively.

Reflecting on her experience, Kelli shared, “I am so grateful to have participated in Leadership Ames Class XXXVII and am thankful to TS Bank for supporting me through this journey. This program has allowed me to gain a new perspective on the issues and opportunities within Ames and to build connections with others who share a vision for a better community.”
