Tell us about yourselves
We were born and raised in Adams County. We graduated from CHS in the Class of 1972 and were high school sweethearts. After college, we married and had four children and now four grandchildren! We farmed since our marriage and bought the bakery in 2002.
Why did you want to own a business in Corning, Iowa?
Corning is home to us, and we felt it was a service the Corning was accustomed to.
What do you like most about the community?
It’s quiet and beautiful, plus people are very friendly.
How are you personally involved in the community?
Both of us were in the 4-H program; I was a leader for 25 years and Rick Swine Supt. for 20 years. Rick has coached little league sports as well as assisted with football games, track, volleyball, and booster club. Jo serves as a Communion Steward, admin, board and on the SPPRC Board at Church.

We are located at 711 Davis Ave in Corning.

Sunday - Monday | Closed
Tues - Friday | 6:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Saturday | 6:00 a.m. - Noon
What services do you offer?
A full line retail bakery specializing in cakes for all occasions.
What do you offer that other businesses similar to you can’t?
Custom cakes, fresh baked pastries and doughnuts. We also make homemade noodles.
